One of the reasons that Gatsby has become so famous around New York is that he throws elaborate parties every weekend at his mansion, lavish spectacles to which people long to be invited.

–The Great Gatsby, F. Scott Fitzgerald

It’s the party of the year, and you’re invited!

The year is 1922. The Jazz Age is in full swing, the economy is soaring, and anyone who’s anyone has gathered at Jay Gatsby’s lavish West Egg mansion on Long Island to see and be seen.

Why We’re Here

Proceeds from this year’s Holiday Festival will be used to purchase a Faxitron Imaging System for use during surgical breast biopsies. Surgeons will use this equipment in the operating room to produce high-resolution digital images, allowing for precise excisions of suspicious breast tissue. This state-of-the-art technology will result in a significant reduction in procedure time, less stress and anxiety for patients, and a much-improved standard of care for women.

About the Holiday Festival

The annual Holiday Festival is the major fundraising event for the many programs supported by the Rice Health Foundation. The gala event begins on Friday night with music and a social hour. Following dinner, a lively live auction takes place, while a silent auction is available throughout the evening. The festival continues on Saturday, and includes a holiday luncheon buffet, table setting fair, entertainment, shopping, and door prizes.
